Hi Rick. I spent a few years as a Bar Manager before joining the business & I got the job ahead of others who were coming straight out of other sales roles. Working in bar management will give you great people skills, People leadership skills, make you resilient, puts you in Pressure situations with lots of responsibilities & if like me you were working by budgets/targets. If you bring all this to life & articulate what you will bring with you in the terms of life experience you will give yourself a great chance.
