Can you describe a typical day in your role?

Sorry for the late reply but with the safe return to work and changing priorities we have not had a typical day. However in essence you are given the priorities for the week ahead, you will have a territory of perhaps 40 stores rated by size and revenue from superstores like Tesco Extra (one hour in store) to smaller Expresses (30 minutes) but Merchandisers only work in Grocery with the big four / five and usually have about 6 calls per day, these are planned for you but the daily route is flexible. Reporting accuracy of what you find is essential but the aim is to achieve the best revenue return and standards (stock available, on display. correct POS, price labels and in the right paid for space) with the time you have in each call. Most displays are nationally agreed but we also restock them, bringing stock from the warehouse to the shop-floor to maximize the impact and revenue especially of key customer expectations like Coca-Cola and new flavor zero sugar products from the from the wide range, including Costa Coffee and Monster energy.
