Hi Alex,
I started as a Rep and spent a few years moving around different Rep roles. From Convenience to Grocery and then to Licensed. This give me the breadth of knowledge I needed to move on.
Regarding progression its very much lead by delivering in your current job and then taking on additional tasks or mini projects. If I look at senior managers and Directors many of them were also Reps at one point so the opportunities to progress are very much present.
